This Advanced Medical Terminology two-day course is designed for those who have attended an Intermediate Medical Terminology Course. Like the Intermediate Course, participants have plenty of chances to practice constructing complex medical terms from word roots, medical prefixes and medical suffixes. The course uses a variety of case studies, personal examples, anatomical terms and diagnostic procedure examples to enhance learning.
Delegates will expand their understanding of root words, suffixes and prefixes. They will also be able to recognise a wider range of abbreviations and will therefore be more confident in applying medical terms back in the work place. The course also covers basic anatomy and physiology of specific body systems and associated diseases.
